Another Country

This building may just look like a nice piece of London architecture but located on one of the floors is The Embassy of Ecuador. As you may have seen on the news, this is the current home of Julian Assange, founder of the ‘Wikileaks’ website, who is seeking political asylum in their country while wanted in ours.  ‘Wikileaks’ is a whistle-blowing website and you can read a little about it in a BBC article here. It’s situated in a very posh part of town and if he did want to pop out for a pint of milk, the shop on the corner is Harrods.  Still, he’s probably not going to do that as police are stationed outside, ready to arrest him if he steps back on British soil.

  1. Excellent tall sketch, love the composition. How strange would it be to live in there - for anyone - I'd go mad!
